Goose Eggs? (and they aren't golden)
Eek! Seven members of our teams have zeros at the bottom of their columns when it comes to fund raisers. That could mean a number of things.
1) It could mean you weren't planning to send out the sponsor letters and were just going to pay the $500 portion by writing a check.
2) It could mean you are a procrastinator and haven't sent them out at all and are now up against the deadline when the funds are due.
3) It could mean you have dropped out of the trip and just haven't gotten around to telling us yet.
If you fit category 1, bring a $500 check with you on Sunday made out to First Baptist Church with "New Orleans Team" written on the memo line.
If you fall into category two you may face losing your slot on the team to someone on the waiting list. Send out your letters TODAY to avoid losing your spot.
And, if you are in the last category, it makes us sad. PLEASE let us know so that we can fill your spot.
Those of you who have sent out letters will get your totals on Sunday at our lunch meeting. Some have raised beyond what is needed and others still have a ways to go. We'll talk about getting over that hump on Sunday.

Things are coming together
The Amtrak reservation has been made and the deposit for tickets has been paid.
Rental vehicles are reserved and ready.
Berean Bible church has us on their list and is ready to host us again.
The Easter offering contributed only about $2,000 into the NOLA account and the spaghetti dinner netted just over $700. We have not turned in the bottles yet so we're not sure what we have there but I estimate maybe $200.
We will plan to have lunch as a team at our house Sunday, April 13 after we deal with the bottles and cans from the morning.
Also, be sure to have these NOLA team events on your schedule:
April 13 - Bottle drive - team lunch at Linscott's house
April 15 - Deadline for sponsor money due
April 23-25, 8 am - 3 pm - Service Project - scraping, painting, cleanup (a great opportunity to serve together)
May 11 - Bottle Drive
May 23-24 - Yardsale/Car wash
Sun, June 1 - 8:45 am Training Session
Sun, June 8 - 8:45 am Training Session
Sat, June 14 8-4:00 PM - Team training day - mandatory attendance
Sun., June 15 - Bottle drive collecting in morning services
Sun., June 15 - 8:45 am Training Session
Sun., June 22 - 5:00 pm Team cookout fundraiser and Commissioning
Be sure to get your prayer partners set. We will be putting the list together at our April 13 lunch meeting.
I am curious to see what God has planned for us this year! Our team is a bit different than I would have assembled in that we don't have as many "experienced builders" as I would have liked but that may mean that God has some different challenges for us.
We are in very capable hands with contractors Ben and Dan and we're much more experienced than we were last year.
Blessings!
