I find myself at a loss for words. As I look over the list of students and adults whose lives are going to impact others, I recall clearly the impact of this trip last year on me. I have heard so often these past two weeks that it is impossible to "out-give God." That proved true for each of us on the trip last year, and continues to prove true every time that we serve together locally. My prayer this week is that as each of you prepares for the heat, the hard work, and the people that you will meet; that you prepare to give more than you think is possible. Prepare to have God give back to you in ways that you cannot yet even imagine. To those who are returning, know that this experience will be different than the last. To those that are going for the first time, be prepared to have your worldview adjusted. To all, I pray that the investment you are making to show the love of Christ in action will be returned to you over and over as you serve. I have many mixed feelings about missing this trip with you, but know that I have already begun to pray for each of you, in confidence, knowing that you have an opportunity to have an eternal impact on many that you meet.
