Thank you so much for talking with us last night. After we hung up the phone, we sat down, bowed our heads, and prayed for all that you shared with us. In my quiet time just now, I prayed for your day ahead and was reminded of a line in a Wayne Watson song that says, "I don't know what the day holds, but I know WHO holds the day." It makes me think about what Amanda was sharing with us last night--I'm praying that you see your work today through God's eyes whether it seems big or small. God knows the impact it has and I am confident that He will not waste any of your efforts that come from your heart's desire to serve Him and others. In Luke 18:27 Jesus says, "What is impossible from a human perspective is possible with God." I think it's about trusting God beyond our own logical thinking. You guys are awesome! Love, Sallie
"Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification"...Romans 14:19
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up....1 Thess. 5:11
I am guessing that by now, tired bodies, aching muscles and joints etc are becoming apparent. I pray for extra stamina today and that you will remain joyful in spirit. While it may seem obvious that you are there to help the people of NOLA, may it also become apparent that you can minister to other team members as well. While you each will be touched in a different way by this trip, you all are one big team with a common thread, Jesus Christ, and a common goal!
Blessings, Val
PS....Can someone give Kristan a hug for me today. Thank you!
We're a bunch of teenagers and leaders who are daring to believe that Jesus Christ has called us to action rather than sitting on our tails in comfortable churches. Don't go to church, be the church.
